"Random Funk", as the name implies, is a song made up of connected improvised funk melodies. Isaac composed this song entirely by coincidence! He was experimenting with different types of drums and created rhythms that reminded him of 1970's Afro-Latino Funk. Hearing this, he decided it would be fun to make something that sounded old-school (the lo-fi sound in this case is purely intentional!) The clarinet is an allusion to American composers such as Gershwin and the organ calls back to classic soul music.
